The XVIII Airborne Corps Legal Assistance Office will be closed on the following days:
- August 25, 2023 – Corps Training Holiday
- September 1, 2023 – Corps Training Holiday
- September 4, 2023 – Labor Day Holiday
Please note that our office is closed on Federal and XVIII Airborne Corps training holidays, as well as periodically for military training obligations.
Office Hours of Operations
MONDAY: 0900-1600 (appointments only)
TUESDAY: 0900-1600 (appointments only)
WEDNESDAY: 0900-1600 (Walk-in Wills must be present at 0900)
THURSDAY: 0900-1600 (Family Law Only – Divorce/Separation Brief begins at 0900, this briefing is MANDATORY. Must be present at 0900)
FRIDAY: 0900-1400 (appointments only)
Please note that we are closed for lunch from 1200-1300.
To schedule an appointment, a military ID is required. Please note that appointments cannot be made over the phone.
Please be aware that we schedule appointments two weeks in advance. Once the schedule is full, we will be unable to take appointments until we see all clients scheduled for the two weeks prior. Exceptions may be made for circumstances where the client cannot wait two weeks.
A military ID is required to schedule an appointment, therefore appointments cannot be made over the phone.

Legal Assistance Office
At Garrity Traina, we offer legal services to Fort Liberty and the local military community. You can find us in the Client Services Office, Wing D of the Soldier Support Center, 1st Floor. When you enter the Soldier Support Center through the main doors, turn left at the information desk and proceed down the hallway. Client Services will be on your left, across from Retiree Services.
Appointments: Appointments are made on the first day of the work week starting at 0900. Appointments are scheduled no more than two weeks in advance and must be made in person to verify eligibility. We do not accept appointment scheduling over the phone.
If you are already represented by a civilian attorney for any matter you need legal assistance with, please make sure to obtain a written waiver or letter of consent before we can provide assistance.

- Other IAW Regulations
Please note that our Legal Assistance Attorneys cannot provide advice on Military Justice Matters, Civilian Criminal Issues, Private Business Activities (including Landlords), Employment Matters (other than USERRA), or Litigation against the United States.
We offer the following advance life directives on a walk-in basis or in conjunction with an appointment:
- Living wills, which allow you to make decisions about life support.
- Health care powers of attorney, which enable you to name a person to make medical decisions for you if you become unable to do so.
- Durable financial powers of attorney, which allow you to designate a person to handle your affairs if you become incapacitated.
