Heading our firm is Lisa Moore, an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in entertainment and intellectual property law. As the past Chair of the Entertainment Section for the State Bar of Georgia, Lisa has demonstrated her expertise and commitment to the field. Her professionalism and dedication have earned her an AV Preeminent rating as an attorney.
Lisa began her academic journey at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), where she graduated with a BA in History and Political Science with Honors and Highest Distinction in 1995. As a Phi Beta Kappa member, she excelled in her studies. She then pursued her legal education at the University of Virginia School of Law, completing her Juris Doctor degree in 1998.
Lisa’s practice focuses exclusively on litigation and transactional matters in the entertainment and intellectual property space. Her broad range of experience includes serving as an adjunct professor at renowned universities such as the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, and Emory University. She is a sought-after speaker and lecturer, addressing various topics including music, copyright, art law, film, television, literary publishing, new technology, and new media issues.
Lisa’s contribution to the legal field extends beyond teaching and speaking engagements. She has authored numerous articles in law reviews, entertainment journals, and related publications. Lisa co-authored the definitive treaty on art law in Georgia titled “Art Law in Georgia: A Guide for Artists and Arts Organizations” and served as the Editor of Volume 5 (New Technology) of Matthew Bender Entertainment Industry Contracts, a publication of LEXIS.
Recognized for her exceptional talent, Lisa has received prestigious accolades throughout her career. She has been honored as a “Super Lawyer” in Entertainment and Sports by Super Lawyers magazine, selected as one of “The Best Lawyers in America” for Copyright Law, and recognized as a “Legal Elite” in Entertainment/Sports Law by Georgia Trend Magazine. In 2005, the Nonprofit Organizations committee of the ABA’s Business Law Section awarded Lisa the esteemed “Young Attorney of the Year Award” for her nonprofit work benefiting low-income Georgia artists and nonprofit arts organizations through Georgia Lawyers for the Arts. She is also a Fellow of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia and a Master of the Bench in the Atlanta IP Inn of Court. Lisa is licensed to practice law in Georgia.
