Lisa began her academic journey at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), where she graduated with a BA in History and Political Science with Honors and Highest Distinction in 1995. As a Phi Beta Kappa member, she excelled in her studies. She then pursued her legal education at the University of Virginia School of Law, completing her Juris Doctor degree in 1998.
